Frequently asked questions

Do I need a piano?

Having a keyboard or piano at home is essential. For beginners, a keyboard works perfectly fine. You can find one on Amazon, Best Buy, or even opt for a second-hand option. Feel free to ask if you need more guidance on purchasing a piano or keyboard.

What is the cancellation policy?

Canceling a scheduled lesson requires a 24-hour notice, but exceptions are allowed for last-minute emergencies or illness, waiving the 24-hour notice policy.

Where to buy books?

I'll let you know which books you need to buy in advance for your lesson. They're easy to find online or at a music bookstore.

Where are In Home Lessons?

I offer in-home lessons for certain areas of London, ON, depending on the time and location. All other lessons will need to be scheduled for online.

What do I need for an online lesson?

You'll need your piano/keyboard, your lesson books and a device such as a phone, tablet or laptop. We can discuss setting this up.

What age can students start piano?

We can begin as early as preschoolers. I recommend Alfred's Little Mozarts Program for younger students.

Is anyone too old to start piano?

No, as long as you can comfortably play the piano, there's no age limit to starting to learn.

Can I switch between online and in home lessons?

Absolutely. I understand that sometimes the added convenience of online options can be the better choice during certain weeks.
